Green Valley Public School adheres strictly to the latest CBSE guidelines for examinations, which may be revised from time to time in accordance with official board instructions.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) provides a dynamic and student-friendly academic framework that emphasizes conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and overall intellectual development. Moving beyond rote learning, the CBSE examination pattern is designed to assess comprehension, analytical skills, and application of knowledge, preparing students for real-world challenges.
To ensure fairness, discipline, and transparency, the school follows these rules for all CBSE-aligned assessments:
✅ Minimum Attendance:
A minimum of 75% attendance is required to be eligible for final examinations, as per CBSE norms.
✅ Mandatory Participation:
Students must appear in all scheduled examinations throughout the academic year to be considered for promotion.
✅ Fee Clearance:
All outstanding dues must be cleared up to the month of the examination in order to appear for it.
✅ Admit Card:
Students must carry their admit card to enter the examination hall.
✅ Punctuality:
Students must report to the examination hall at least 15 minutes prior to the start time. Late entries will not be allowed, and early exits are not permitted.
🚫 Prohibited Items:
Items such as books, notes, mobile phones, calculators, or any electronic devices are strictly banned. Only drinking water is allowed inside.
✏️ Stationery Requirements:
Each student must bring their own pen, pencil, ruler, eraser, sharpener, and permitted geometrical instruments.
⚠️ Malpractice:
Any form of cheating or malpractice will lead to cancellation of that paper.
🩺 Re-examination Policy:
There is no re-examination provision, except for Half-Yearly and Annual Exams, in case of a serious medical condition. Proper medical documents must be submitted within 2 days, and a fee of ₹150 per paper will be applicable.
🎯 Minimum Pass Criteria:
Students must secure at least 33% marks in each subject, including both theory and practical components, to qualify for promotion.
🏫 Final Promotion:
The school’s decision regarding promotion will be final and binding on all students.
