Green Valley students, known as Greenites, are always expected to be polite. Use of rough or inappropriate language is strictly prohibited.
The official working and spoken language in the school is English only.
Greenites must stand when a teacher or visitor enters the classroom and wait for permission before sitting.
Students are expected to be punctual and arrive on time for all lessons.
To ask a question, Greenites must raise their hand and wait for the teacher’s permission to speak.
Students may only leave a lesson with the permission of a staff member, and only in cases of extreme urgency.
Eating or drinking during lessons is not allowed.
If a teacher does not arrive within five minutes after the bell for a lesson, the class must send a representative to inform the academic coordinator.
No electronic devices with cameras, video, or DVD facilities are allowed in the school.
Electronic music devices are also prohibited.
Greenites must respect school property; furniture must not be damaged or written upon.
Textbooks must be handled carefully and not written on or damaged.
Exercise books should be kept neat and tidy at all times.
Students are required to complete their daily classwork and homework and have it checked by the respective teacher.
Copying from other students is forbidden; students caught copying will be required to repeat the work during academic detention.
Use of unfair means during tests and examinations is strictly prohibited. Offenders will face severe consequences, including a 25% deduction in marks.
All academic work must be presented neatly with legible handwriting.
Students who fail to complete their routine work on time may be placed under academic detention.
Textbooks must be kept clean and in good condition, and notebooks should be properly maintained.
